4 Wheel Drive Models
We have a number of Four Wheel drive chassis. Click on the
links below to see some details on them.
Specification
This was my first model that started it all in about 1993.
It is built in the TA02 chassis that is made four wheel drive by the
use of a small metal rod connecting the rear of the car to the
front. This particular model was Fords replacement in the
World Rally Championship for the Ford Sierra Cosworth. Mine
looks a bit sorry for itself now after many years of use. I
have just recently stripped it down completely to clean it and
re-grease it ready for many more hours of fun.
With the Cosworth body getting a little tired, I decided to get a
more up-to-date one. The obvious and only choice at the time
was to get an Escort WRC Body.

Specification
This was my sons first model that he got for Christmas in 1997.
It is an TA03F chassis that is made four wheel drive by the
use of a small belt connecting the rear of the car to the
front. This particular model was Mitsubishis entrant in the
World Rally Championship, a Group A car, when a lot of manufacturers
had WRC cars.
This body looks a bit sorry for itself now, and was nearly
destroyed a little after these pictures were taken.

A new addition!
We have a new addition to our stock of Tamiya cars. The latest addition is my youngest sons Calsonic Skyline GT-R on the TT-01 Chassis. A nice chassis to start his RC collection. It has four wheel drive and an electronic speed control as standard.
